By Okafor Benjamin
Uke, Anambra State - As the Christian world celebrated Ascension Sunday, the Spiritual Director of the Holy Ghost Adoration Ministry, Uke, Anambra State, Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Obimma (Ebube Muonso), preached a powerful sermon on the theme of divine reward.
Citing John 14:1, which states, "Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me," Fr. Ebube Muonso encouraged the adorers not to panic or lose faith, but to remain consistent in their devotion to God, assuring them that their rewards will surely come.
He further emphasized John 14:8, which says, "I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you," reassuring the congregation that God will never abandon them, but will always be with them.
Fr. Ebube Muonso shared a testimony from one of the adorers in a program at Abuja, a lady who attributed her blessings, including a "first-class husband" who transformed her family's fortunes, to her commitment to God and regular participation in adoration programs.
Fr. Ebube Muonso also recognized the academic excellence of a student from his school, Divine Rays Secondary School, Obosi, who scored the highest in JAMB in the Southeast region. He encouraged students to commit to God and strive for excellence.
The priest appreciated Mrs. Selina, his primary school teacher, who still teaches at Divine Rays Secondary School, using her as an example to task teachers to invest in their students, as their rewards will come.
Fr. Ebube Muonso cautioned against being deceived by misconceptions that religion is a scam, urging the adorers to believe in God with faith and commitment. He assured them that their labor of faith will not be in vain, as God will reward everyone according to their good deeds.
Declaring June as the "Month of Reward," Fr. Ebube Muonso used biblical examples, including Daniel's promotion after his trial and Mordecai's reward from King Ahasuerus, to illustrate God's faithfulness in rewarding His people.
He prayed for the adorers, asking God to reward them, grant them ascension miracles and favors, and bless the month of June. He revealed his revelation to the adorers that God will reward many, and encouraged them to remain faithful and committed to God.
Fr. Ebube Muonso's message of hope and encouragement resonated with the adorers as they looked forward to experiencing God's rewards in their lives.
