The school's Deputy Senior Prefect, Jennifer Chibueze, has been crowned the winner of the prestigious 2025 National Head Girls Competition, held in Lagos on October 14, 2025.
Organized by the Women in Leadership Advanced Network (WILAN), the competition brought together over 200 head girls from across Nigeria, all vying for the top spot. The contest focused on STEM education, challenging participants to develop innovative solutions to real-world problems. Jennifer and her team rose to the challenge, designing a groundbreaking healthcare appliance aimed at facilitating and tracking immunization in rural communities.
This ingenious device addresses a critical need in Nigeria's healthcare system, showcasing the school's commitment to using science and technology to drive positive change. The appliance's efficiency and Jennifer's powerful presentation impressed the judges, propelling St. John Vianney Science College to the top.
The competition was fierce, with the final stage featuring the top five finalists. However, Jennifer's exceptional leadership skills, creativity, and dedication to excellence earned her the coveted title of National Head Girl of the Year.
